Exercise is probably the most effective way of slowing down the aging process. Not exercising as an adult gives way to rapid weight gain, tiredness, weakness and bone density loss: especially in older women, fatique, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, loss of self esteem, and onset of disease.

People who are physically fit and eat a healthy well balanced diet, often have a biological age of 10 to 20 years younger than their chronological age.

With our busy lives these days, it is of paramount importance to show our children the need for exercise, as many children born no walk less and less, donít cycle, go the park, or exercise in school; sadly a sign of our times.

To maintain your ideal weight you will need regular aerobic exercise, this does not mean you have to sweat it out at the gym. The gym is not for everyone and most gyms require annual membership which can be difficult to attend often, soon your valuable money is wasted along with all the other new year, good ideas!

We believe the secret to maintaining a good exercise regime, is to find some thing you really enjoy.

Regular exercise release Endorphins into the body, these chemicals lift your mood, making you feel really good. This in turn can lower your blood pressure and improve cholesterol levels.

Healthy weight can reduce your chances of dying from heart disease, diabetes, strokes and certain forms of cancer. Obesity is estimated to contribute to one third of hypertension cases, diabetes and fifty percent of colon cancer in men.

As many as 1000 calories may be burnt every week by running 3.3 miles during three sessions weekly or using a ski machine or cross trainer for up to 30 mins, three times a week. To maintain this programme you must not cut too many calories from your diet. A healthy diet is all about eating the right foods at the right time of the day.

You will need a certain amount of calories to give you the energy needed to perform your chosen exercise plan.
